Scott K. McCormick is a member of the firm’s Insurance Coverage and Defense Practice Group and concentrates on both commercial general liability and insurance coverage matters. Scott has litigated on behalf of businesses and insurance companies in a broad array of practice areas, including premises liability, liquor liability/dram shop, product liability, No-Fault/automobile negligence, construction law, constitutional law, community association law, and realtor errors and omissions.
Scott grew up in Macomb Township and, after attending law school at The Ohio State University, returned to Michigan to begin his professional career. Scott initially clerked for a Michigan circuit court judge before joining the private sector. He has argued motions in both state and federal court, attended countless depositions and case evaluation hearings, and has written appellate briefs, including one that was filed with the United States Supreme Court.
Scott prides himself on his attention to detail; his zealous, but practical, advocacy on behalf of his clients; and his responsiveness in keeping his clients abreast of case developments.
